Details

Born in Reading in 1967, Mark Wiltshire has led a dynamic and hands-on career across several industries. With a strong foundation in the motor trade and then later the inland waterways. He has invested in property along the way and now has a property portfolio that has proved satisfying in many ways and has enabled him to secure more free time. Eighteen years ago, after purchasing Newbury Marina his love for the waterways strengthened, now managing over fifty Narrow / Wide beam berths he now combines practical know-how with people-focused leadership on the “Newbury Riviera”

Now residing within Newbury Marina Berkshire, living aboard a 70ft Dutch barge with his partner Klaudia & Boxer dog —a lifestyle that reflects his appreciation for freedom, tradition, and the outdoors he splits his time with three months of the year spent on the River Thames cruising between London & Oxford.

A proud Freemason for over 18 years, Mark has been a dedicated and active contributor to the fraternity. For the past 15 years, he has played a key role on the membership team, supporting recruitment and engagement across the Province of Berkshire. Having honed his skills as Secretary in Hungerford Lodge for 5 years whilst overcoming new challenges, more recently taking up the mantle of a VLO, Mark is now looking forward to a new chapter of serving as your Provincial Membership Officer and assisting in the quest to strengthen Berkshire Freemasonry.

Deeply committed to both Craft Masonry and The Royal Arch, Mark enjoys the values, structure, and fellowship that Freemasonry brings to his life. Stating “ I truly believe Freemasonry is as relative now as it has ever been, the ongoing support we receive from our Brothers, the personal development, the individual growth as a man that we can tap into from being a Freemason has most definitely helped me to develop as a person, it is needed now more than ever before ”

Outside the Lodge and after hanging up his crash helmet with over 35 years of active motorsport memories and successes his interests include Formula One, travel and meeting new people. With family being spread oved two nationalities & countries, family culture / traditions help him maintain a well-balanced and grounded approach to life.
