20 Companions attended the March convocation of Union Chapter No. 414 on Tuesday 26th March for a double exaltation ceremony.

The Deputy Grand Superintendent, for Berkshire, E Comp Jim Sampins was in attendance and during the ceremony eloquently set the scene within the chapter which enhanced what was truly a magnificent occasion for our two candidates both of whom are members of the Southampton University Lodge No. 7022.
E Comp Alex Ball, MEZ skilfully presided over the convocation obligating both candidates individually, before continuing the second part of the ceremony jointly. The MEZ was ably assisted by E Com Paul Jenkins, Haggi and Jamie Clark, Joshua with E Comp Steve Hieke stepping in to fulfil the role of Principal Sojourner in his usually faultless manner, E Comp Ian Wharton kindly took over the duties of Scribe Nehemiah after E Comp Rob Bancroft had to depart from the Chapter early.
The candidates Nicholas Cooper and Alexandros Neromillotis both residing locally in Berkshire had decided to join Union Chapter after spending time with its current members socially and finding out how friendly and welcoming the Companions truly are and what a vibrant and engaging Province Berkshire proves to be.
It is hoped that the Chapter will conduct another double exaltation at its convocation in May.
Owen Doe, Provincial Grand Mentor.
