The Royal Arch presentation team lead by the Provincial Grand Mentor E Comp Owen Doe ably assisted by E Comp Jamie Clark and Comp Ray Mills, visited Khalsa Lodge on Saturday 18th May to give their presentation ‘Introducing the Royal Arch’. Donned in the robes of the three Principal Officers of the Royal Arch they gave an outstanding performance of the playlet, written by the Provincial Grand Mentor and choreographed by E Comp Clark. The playlet is designed to give a brief introduction and initial understanding of the colour and splendour this supreme order has to give, at the same time retaining the mystery of the ceremony so as not to spoil the experience for potential candidates for exaltation.

The team also visited Hungerford Lodge in April during a Team Vist – Team Visit to Hungerford Lodge

Khalsa Lodge has an affiliation with Lord Desborough Chapter whom the ‘3 Principals’ were representing. In attendance, were several members that had not yet considered joining our wonderful order, so plenty of opportunity for presenting the playlet, indeed one member was so taken by the information, that he has agreed to join the Chapter. E Comp John Ferguson RA Representative for the Lodge also played apart which contributed to the performance. This was the third time the playlet had been presented in a Craft Lodge and for the third time the team have struct a ‘Plate of Gold’.

P.s. The section of music score is from the Provincial Grand Mentor’s favourite Opera.

What’s the Opera?
