A very happy band of 55 Royal Arch Masons travelled from the four corners of deepest Berkshire, to congregate at Freemasons’ Hall in London and take part in the annual investiture of The Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of England.
For some Companions this was their very first visit to SGC, for many this is an annual pilgrimage in what is always a highlight of the Masonic year. Several Berkshire Companions were appointed or promoted in Grand Rank by the ME First Grand Principal, at the convocation.
After the meeting, a superb sell-out festive board was held at the Concert Artiste’s club in Covent Garden, led by our ME Grand Superintendent, where we were joined by a fraternal gathering of Oxfordshire Royal Arch Masons led by their own ME Grand Superintendent E Comp Prof Stephen Tucker.
The next convocation of Supreme Grand Chapter will be held on Wednesday 13th November 2024 and all Royal Arch masons, regardless of rank, are invited (and encouraged) to attend. Please put the date in the diary and watch out for the summons and detail later in the year!
