Rose Croix Breakfast

by Peter Wells

On Saturday morning (3/12/2022) a breakfast meeting was held on behalf of the Ancient and Accepted Rite (generally referred to as Rose Croix), to introduce the order to fellow Freemasons.

The morning begun with an excellent cooked breakfast, enjoyed by the 22 participants. including the Provincial Grant Master and the Grand Superintendent for the Royal Arch

Very Illustrious Brother David Jarvis, the Inspector General for Rose Croix in Berkshire introduced the talk, explaining the order’s position in relation to the other orders in Freemasonry, and emphasizing the specifically Christian ethos which underpins it

The talk itself was ably presented by Illustrious Brother Tony Rees, District Recorder. He provided details of the organization of Rose Croix at chapter, provincial and national levels; the place of the degrees from the 3rd of Craft masonry to the 18th degree of a Prince Rose Croix, and then the higher degrees of 30th to 32nd; and the relationship to other Ancient and Accepted Rite orders in the rest of the world (the order is known as the Scottish Rite in the US)

The talk was followed by questions from the floor which everyone found very useful. Overall the attendees all felt that it had been a worthwhile and valuable morning
