Over 220 Companions, including Rulers and Members of the Supreme Grand Chapter and guests from Other Provinces, attended a Convocation of the Provincial Grand Chapter at the Sindlesham Masonic Centre, on the 24th July 2023, to see Most Excellent Third Grand Principal, Gareth Jones, OBE, invest E Comp Anthony C Howlett-Bolton, OBE, PDepGSwdB, as the ME Grand Superintendent In and Over the Province of Berkshire.

Following which the ME Grand Superintendent appointed E Comp James Sampins as his Deputy Grand Superintendent, E Comp Colin Townsend Green, PAGDC, as Second  Grand Principal and E Comp Peter Oakley as Third Grand Principal.

The Convocation was Called Off for lunch in the Flavell Suite during which the Third Grand Principal commended E Comp Anthony to the Companions and presented him with a gift of cufflinks. The ME Grand Superintendent reciprocated with gifts and thanks to the Installing officers.

The Provincial Grand Chapter resumed after lunch, when the ME Grand Superintendent appointed the rest of his Acting Officers, awarded preferments to Past Officers and addressed the Companions with congratulations to those receiving appointments and promotions and thanks to all who had helped to arrange the events surrounding the Investiture. During his address he gave insights to his vision for the development of the Royal Arch in Berkshire, in particular the need to restore membership.
