In the illustrious tapestry of Masonic rituals, few Ceremonies carry the weight of significance quite like the Royal Arch Exaltation. Steeped in tradition and symbolism, it represents a journey of enlightenment and spiritual discovery for those who undertake it.

On Saturday 13th April, within the hallowed Temple of Windsor Masonic Hall, the Companions of Christopher Wren Chapter No. 4855 celebrated this special Ceremony, with a special guest in attendance, the Deputy Grand Superintendent, EComp. Jim Sampins, accompanied by the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, EComp. Steve Hieke.

As esteemed representatives of Berkshire Province, their presence brought an aura of solemnity and reverence to the Ceremony in which Bro. Marco Canonico was exalted, underscoring its importance within the Masonic tradition.

As the ritual unfolded, each symbolic gesture and sacred vow carried profound meaning, resonating with the timeless truths that lie at the heart of Freemasonry.  Through solemn oaths and ancient rites, the Candidate was initiated into the mysteries of the Royal Arch, unlocking new levels of understanding and insight.

Amidst the flickering candlelight, the Deputy Grand Superintendent delivered a stirring story and history of the Ceremony, reminding all present of the enduring principles that unite Freemasons.

During the Ceremony, the MEZ, EComp. Pat Whelan announced a special event in the Christopher Wren calendar.  To celebrate the “One Journey” between Craft and Royal Arch, Christopher Wren Lodge and Chapter will celebrate a joint Ladies Festival, to take place in November 2024.

As the Ceremony drew to a close, the Candidate emerged as newly exalted Companion of the Royal Arch, his spirits lifted by the knowledge that he had taken another special step along the path of Masonic Enlightenment.
