Berkshire Freemasons grant helps stage Scouts and Guides Gang Show

by Paul Thomsett

The Berkshire Freemasons were pleased to support the South East Berkshire Gang Show with a donation of £500 towards the costs of the production with a grant from the Berkshire Masonic Charity. After an enforced break due to Covid, the show returned to South Hill Park in Bracknell in February. The shows, which were staged over a week, are an opportunity for local Scouts and Guides in the area to perform on stage. The performances are usually to a very high standard and build confidence in those that take part.

Helena Hickling from the fundraising team, said “We were worried that after the COVID lockdowns, our show would make a financial loss this year.  However, with a huge effort from everyone involved, ensuring that as many tickets were sold as possible, along with some very generous donations, including your own, I am very pleased to report that the show did not make a loss”.
