Berkshire Brethren at the Annual Investiture

The 26th April saw the Annual Investiture at Great Queen Street. A good number of brethren from Berkshire including the Provincial Grand Master, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, and both Assistants, along with two past Provincial Grand Masters were in attendance. The day saw several Berkshire freemasons receive their Grand Rank appointments, and also promotions in Grand Rank. The meeting was presided over by the Grand Master, HRH the Duke of Kent.

WBros Dean White and Paul Wilding received first appointments to PAGDC. WBro Iain Marnock, Assistant Provincial Grand Master was promoted to PSGD and WBro Bill Rhymes was promoted to PAGDC. WBro Ian Hopgood the ME Grand Superintendent in the Royal Arch was appointed to the acting rank of Grand Sword Bearer.

The Grand Temple was full with freemasons from all over the country and abroad to witness the impressive and memorable proceedings.

Afterwards brethren from Berkshire retired to a private dining room at Tuttons restaurant in Covent Garden to celebrate. In a speech following the meal the leader of Berkshire Freemasons, Anthony Howlett-Bolton OBE, congratulated all those who received a first appointment or promotion and gave an update to the brethren on the Membership Challenge and other initiatives being instigated in the province.
