A donation by Bullbrook Lodge L7967 matched by the Berkshire Provincial Masonic Golf Society (BPMGS) funded a Family Day at Camp Mohawk which was attended by over 50 families.

In addition to the extensive range of normal facilities the day included two performances by Daniel from Party Playhouse Group who kept the children fully engaged throughout with his silly (but very skilful ) antics combined with ability to communicate through signing.

The morning and afternoon sessions were rounded off by ice creams which on a hot day were enjoyed by all the children.

As can be seen from this video link https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1B8d3GYc9B/?mibextid=wwXIfr (click on sound) and attached photos the day was a huge success fully enjoyed by all the children whist also providing valued respite for parents and carers.

Camp Mohawk,  is a 5 acre site located outside Wargrave providing an extensive range of facilities and support for over 700 families with children who have special needs.

Attending the day, Mickey Labana, Berkshire Provincial Grand Charity Steward said “It was a privilege  for Berkshire Masons to be associated with supporting such a worthwhile and valued Community Charity”

Davina Turnbull, Camp Mohawk Corporate & Community Fundraiser said “Thank you so much to Berkshire Freemasons for making such a memorable and perfectly adapted day for our families. We have had so many positive comments from parents about how well the performer worked with the children to suit their needs and we were incredibly impressed with Daniel’s Makaton use”
