The Wellesley Lodge was originally for Officers of the Army and Navy, Members of Universities and Gentlemen connected with Liberal Professions.

It is therefore fitting that our Lodge should bear the name of a man who was one Britain’s greatest Military Commanders, Prime Minister and Chancellor of Oxford University.

The Wellesley Lodge has a rich and vibrant Masonic history and is one of the older lodges within the Berkshire Province.

The Wellesley Lodge was consecrated on 25th April 1881 and originally held its meetings at the Wellington College Hotel near Sandhurst before moving to its current home of Sindlesham Masonic Centre on 6th October 1969.
